  1. More and more Christmas-related markets and festivals are springing up across Toronto’s downtown, the latest one being just outside City Hall. This gives Christmas shoppers a change of scene from the busy malls with mile-long lineups at store checkout counters, and puts people in a more festive mood. This past weekend, latest edition of the One-of-a-Kind Christmas Show and Sale at Exhibition Place (running from November 24 through to December 4) recently wrapped up. Also, and there’s the Toronto Christmas market down at the Distillery District, which runs until December 22.
