maple syrup festivals

Maple Syrup Festivals begin in March / April in Ontario.* There are so many Maple Syrup festivals held throughout the Province – most are outside of the city, so a car is a must!

Maple Syrup Festivals

What a great way to spend a day with the family, especially during March Break

  • Learn how maple syrup is made
  • See how the sap is drained into metal buckets (traditional way) or through hose-like pipes
  • Watch how maple syrup was boiled in metal tubs (traditional way)
  • Wagon rides and more!

Admission may apply, but worth the experience!

Visit http://www.ontariomaple.com/festivals-events for the full list of participating farms and start planning your trip.

Don’t forget to pick up a couple of bottles of fresh syrup – you’ll not want to go back to store brand again!

Tap into Maple

Take the family out for the day and experience the Tap into Maple self-driving route, just north of Toronto in Ontario’s Lake Country (Orillia-Muskoka area).

Have you ever driven the Niagara Wine Route? This is similar, only it promotes Maple Syrup.

Experience the many vendors along the route offering local maple cuisine and products. Coupons are available to print/download from the website link below.

You can even stay awhile, our local accommodations have some sweet maple packages available for you! Bring your family or getaway as a couple, Ontario’s Lake Country has something for everyone.

For route information, participating vendors, and more, please visit https://www.ontarioslakecountry.com/tap-into-maple

*Remember: these festivals are dependent on how the winter was and how fast the sap is flowing. As a result, this affects what is available at  participating farms.
