During one weekend in August, Sugar Beach turns into a large outdoor movie theatre – Sail-in-Cinema. Movies are shown on a huge two-sided screen that is set on a barge in Toronto Harbour.
The 2 screens means that, you can either watch them from Sugar Beach or, if you’re lucky, from a boat on the Lake (Ontario).
Movies usually begin at dusk (approx. 8:45 pm) and gates open at 6:00 pm.
Sail-in Cinema is asking for you to VOTE for your favourite movie to watch on the nights. Voting closes July 12 and the results will be announced after that date.
Take something to sit on, e.g., a blanket or chair as there are no seats available. GO EARLY, if you’d like to get a good spot to watch from. This event does attract huge crowds!
