Ice Skating – Nathan Phillips Square

outdoor ice skating
Enjoy FREE outdoor skating on the Nathan Phillips Square skating rink

Nathan Phillips Square is one of the more popular (artificial) outdoor skating rinks in the city, probably because it’s in the centre of downtown Toronto, in front of the Toronto sign!

With it being artificial, it stays open during warmer spells. This has its downfalls, and that is… puddles, but it doesn’t appear to hinder those who just want to get out and skate.

The ice rink will be open Nov 30 – Mar 16, 2025: 10:00 am – 9:45 pm daily

Closing times vary during the week, but it doesn’t ‘really’ close. The lights go out [10:00 pm] and the zamboni is put away for the night! With that said, you can still skate – in the dark, but you won’t be the only one doing it!
