Maple Syrup Festivals & Events

maple syrup festivals

Maple Syrup Festivals/Events usually begin in March/April in Ontario.* There are quite a few Maple Syrup events held throughout the Province – most are outside of the city, so a car is a must!

Maple Weekend: April 1-2, 2023

What a great way to spend a day with the family!

  • Learn how maple syrup is made
  • See how the sap is drained into metal buckets (traditional way) or through hose-like pipes
  • Watch how maple syrup was boiled in metal tubs (traditional way)
  • Wagon rides and more!

Admission may apply, but worth the experience!

Don’t forget to pick up a couple of bottles of fresh syrup – you’ll not want to go back to store brand again!

Visit https://www.ontariomaple.com/ for the full list of participating farms and start planning your trip.

Tap into Maple: March 3-April 2

Take the family out for the day and experience the Tap into Maple self-driving route, just north of Toronto in Ontario’s Lake Country (Orillia-Muskoka area).

Experience the many vendors along the route offering local maple cuisine and products.

Maple Syrup Season

For maple syrup producers who may not be included in the events listed above, visit https://www.destinationontario.com/en-ca/articles/celebrate-maple-syrup-season-ontario and select the area that best suits your plans.

* Remember: all these events are dependent on how the winter was and how fast the sap is flowing. As a result, this affects what is available at participating farms.
