The Bentway welcomes back local neighbours and fun-seekers for FREE winter programming, launching December 20, 2025 through to February 16, 2026.
Skaters are invited to chill out and cozy up along a 220-metre figure-eight skate trail, located under the Gardiner Expressway.
Opening Weekend
During the Opening Weekend (Dec 20-23), attendees can enjoy a cozy skate-and-sip featuring FREE skate rentals, hot drinks, maple taffy, and photo moments
Guests can also sample Hero’s Mighty Patches and Batiste’s dry shampoo (while supplies last) during the Skate Trail opening hours from Saturday, December 20 to Tuesday, December 23.

Skate Rentals
Skate rentals are available on select dates that the trail is open. The last time to rent skates is 8:00pm and all skates must be returned by 8:45pm. Rentals are for a maximum 2-hrs. You must ALSO present a valid government-issued ID and sign a waiver to rent skates.
Skate sharpening is also available.
Location
The Bentway is under the Gardiner Expressway beside the Fort York Visitor Centre (250 Fort York Blvd.) between Strachan Ave. and Bathurst St.
It stretches from just east of Fort York’s Visitor Centre to Bastion St.
